Health Benefit of Watermelon (Thannimathan)/Pomegranate (Mathala Naranga) Salad Recipe



Watermelon and Pomegranate are two pretty and tasty fruits. They have many merits those providing a healthful life for you. In the winter- summer seasons they are easily available. Try to include these fruits in our meal as curries, juices and salad dishes

As you know the watermelon is seen in entire world, even in Arabian countries. In Kerala it is also called 'Vathikka'. Its flesh is delicious and can help you to withstand the bad conditions like over thirst and less production of urine. It cools your brain in hot summer. 

Pomegranate is also a wonderful fruit that attracts you with its smell and sour- sweet mixed taste. Crystal like pink appearance is also attractive. It is a proper fruit for salads. All the parts of this
are beneficial for better body. It will help you to overcome the old cough, vomiting and dysentery. 

Besides these advantages their awesome taste makes us their great fans. Here you can learn a simple salad with these. 

Make Watermelon/Pomegranate - Thannimathan/Mathala Naranga Salad Recipe:


Ingredients:


  • Watermelon Pieces- 1 cup
  • Pomegranate- 1 nos
  • Sugar- A little
  • Honey- 1 tsp


Method of Preparation:


  • Cut the watermelon flesh into small square pieces.
  • Break the pomegranate and take its crystal like seeds.
  • Mix the above in a bowl.
  • Add sugar and honey into them and mix again
  • Serve in hot summer
