Curry Leaf



Curry Leaf TreeScientific name of curry leaf tree is 'Murraya Koenigii'. It includes in the family rutaceae.

It originated in India. It is commonly cultivates in south Indian states. It is also cultivate in Nepal and Burma.

It is a small and useful tree that can be seen in our compound.

Its leaves, bark and seeds are used to make medicines.

The better smelled curry leaves give more taste to the food recipes and it has its own medicinal value.

They contain a glucoside called 'Koenigin'. They also contain alkaloids like Koeninubine, Koenigicine, curryangine and curryanaine.

The special smell of curry leaf is due to B-cargophyllene, B-elimine and B-gurgunine.

Curry leaf contains carbohydrates, different oils, minerals like calcium, Copper, magnesium, vitamins like A,C, D and E, amino acids... as nutrients.

We use curry leaf in majority of recipes due to its ability to absorb and remove toxins.

Curry leaf chutney is a tasty recipe that makes your stomach clean.

The buttermilk - curry leaf combination is a better health drink. It is also removing the tastelessness.

It use in Ayurveda to treat infections, tiredness, stomach pain, indigestion, dysentery, blooding etc...

If you include curry leaves in the dishes it will also be helpful for your eyes. It is due the presence of vitamin A in it.

Curry leaf- turmeric paste will give more softness for your feet. It can be used for cracking on the foot.
